Wife Got Xmas Already For Me

This past Friday Halloween my wife wanted me to have a good day. Stated she had not been paying me enough attention. So off we went to Independence Missouri. First stop was Smokehouse BBQ out on 39th Street. I was looking forward to having 2-12 ounce porkchops that they had on their menu for $29.99. Oh my gooodddnnness these were the tenderest melt in your mouth porkchops I have ever had. They were Nirvana, both days I ate them. After eating one and the sides I didnt even want to start on the 2nd one. Then we went to Independence Center and shopped. My wife picked up a purse and some other things she liked. I got a multiple cologne samples package that included a $255.00 cologne for $45.00 at Dillards. Then we went to Bass Pro and went straight to the gun check-in kiosk and my wife submitted my name at 1600. I looked around a little bit and didnt see the pistol I wanted: A Springfield Armory Defend Your Legacy Milspec 1911 45. So they had 5 customer service people working the counter and I didnt think we would have to wait to long. Boy, was I wrong on that account. They were all older people I mean 70-80 years old and 3 of them were working on one couple. Well promptly at 1700 those 3 left, which left the Older woman and the manager who had to be 80 years old. Finally a 1730 he called my name, told him the gun I wanted to look at and he was unsure of whether he had it or not. I assured him he did as a few minutes earlier I had checked. He checked went back and found it, took it out of the box and I was in Love this gun felt so good in my hand and my wife even liked it. So it came home with us, as I said it was a good day. Now I've got to wait for Christmas to get here!!! On the way home we stopped at Andy's Custard and she got us some strawberry shakes. Missed almost all of the trick or treaters as they stop coming to the door at 2000, we got home at 1930. So we left a big bowl of candy on the front porch heard one doorbell ring and went to the door and no one was there. Left the bowl on porch till 2130 then brought it in and we had some Recess and at about 2200 hit the sack. Sorry so long, it is not everyday that buying a GREAT GUN happens to me!!!
