Range USA Hits Milestone with 50th Indoor Gun Range

Range USA is on its third try in the Memphis area. In years past they've tried twice by taking over existing indoor ranges that went broke. They failed too.
This time they built their own place. Gotta admit, it looks nice. Big store section with a very wide assortment of guns and accessories. 20 shooting lanes. Some of which are rifle rated. Nice place.
Just one tiny , little problem. Their prices are too high and they aren't getting a whole lot of business.

Mogadishu On the Mississippi is known for its crime, issues at ranges/stores of the “thugs” wanting to do “no good things”.
Tough biz area for firearms.
A friend runs a store there.
I would not want to. You get mostly hood rats and not folks on the right path of life

Yep, much better to get that hot brass landing behind the lens of your shooting glasses…
Yeah I raised that concern.

About 15 years ago an agency guy on the Federal side was doing certification for a SORT (SWAT) stuff and we shoot a multi weapons course with a 4 man team (actually 2 2 man teams) we usually ran it without hats because we had to dawn gas masks at the midway point.

Before that you are moving forward engaging with MP5’s and handgun 2 side by side. Brass fell just perfectly from the MP5 and stuck to his eye. He lost the eye. (Which either way he’s probably lost it but MP5 has a fluted chamber so the spent brass has lines all around it so I always wondered if that made it stick more or the heat)

So from them in 100% ball caps were mandatory

I have seen a lot of weird oddities in ranges I’ll say that!

I am a basic member of Range USA and try to shoot once a week-
I also am a member of our private members range here near Memphis-
I also try shooting rifles weekly at MSSA but sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate-
I rather like Range USA-staying warm or cool is a nice feature-
