What have you bought firearms related in the last 48 hours?

I don't have to wait since I have a LTC. They don't even call it in, but they do something on a pc. Supposedly there is a 7 day wait between handgun/pistol purchases? I did have 1 ffl tell me I can get more than 1 at a time but requires them to do extra paperwork. Ill check with other ffl's for answers.

There is not. If you buy more than 2 handguns in a 5 business day period, they're required to send a CLEO notification letter.

You have a lazy FFL if they're making you wait because of that. If they're using modern software, it does it for them.

Nice work, looking forward to seeing the finished pistol.
Did some work on it today thought I'd do something a little different on the mainspring housing and the grip safety in the same style but larger than the back of the slide.
I'm not super happy with the stippling on the front strap but what's done is done. It certainly with be a very personal gun for me so in that regard it's gonna be ok.

Personally I like the much more full stippling but hey you're building this pistol for you. Muzzlestuffer you are very talented bet you could make some serious dough if you wanted too.

Appreciate the compliments. You mean the stippling on the front strap ? I bet I can let go of the pistol and it won't fall it's got some serious bite ! Lol
Wasn't saying your stippling was bad. The 1911 I had appeared like a center punch was used for close to full coverage of both front and rear straps. Wish I had a photo showing what I mean feel like am not explaining it very well.

Not thinking you said it was bad I was going to do it on the mainspring housing but decided not to I may do some other touches on it before nitride finish.
Im pretty familiar with old Clark bullseye guns if that's what your referring to ? I have a long heavy slide.

I wasn't sure how the stippling would feel on the mainspring housing and it has to be punched in a correct direction for it to be effective for grip.
I was going to do a multi directional pattern.
My hands suffer from this work with my arthritis!!!!!!

I'm real anxious to see how the 38 special will shoot that's the real reason I'm building this one I will use the 38 super for major in USPSA One Gun matches here in Arizona.
The 38 special is my midrange bullseye setup for competition I hope I can get the barrel perfect lock up it will be about my 10th barrel maybe more can't recall.

Yeah think you nailed it referring to the Clark pistols. In addition to arthritis just recently started having problems with Trigger Finger in both middle fingers. Was going to say getting old really sucks, I am old.

Model: VRF-14
Caliber: 12 Gauge
Action: Semi Automatic
Barrel Length: 14"
Chamber: 3"
Overall Length: 26"
Capacity: 5 Rds
Finish: Blued

Features

The VRF14 from Rock Island Armory is the first semi-automatic short barrel firearm of its kind. It boasts a familiar pistol-style grip so you can shoot 12GA shells from the hip. And if the 5-round magazine isn’t enough, it’s also compatible with VR-Series 9- and 19-round mags.

By now I have to be on the watch list! Seems every time I go to the bar I buy a cheap gun!
