Doesn't make sense to have anything with turrets that don't have missiles or rockets. That's out of date. Plus, why have just a large cruiser ir destroyer!

The USN has been working on the DDGX design (~14,000 tons) for a number of years to replace the Tico cruisers (enlarged Spruance DDGs) and the new Flight III Arleigh Burkes', of which the first is in seas trails.

DJT says his announced design would be longer & larger than the 45,000 ton Iowa Class BBs, and would be the first "battleships" built since 1994, which was the year the last Tico cruiser was finished. The last true battle ships were finished during WW2.

One just can't start gluing on left-overs from the Zumwalt Class ships and call it good.

Plus he said, that there would be an improved CVN (over the Ford-Class) but there three Ford CVNs authorized plus the new JFK that's about to start sea trials in 2026.

I think most of us realize DJT has a tendency to over-exaggerate at time.

There is a need for the new DDG(X) whatever it finally turns out to be since the Flight III Burke's maxed out the hull & energy generation capabilities.

I thought the battleship was an outdated concept.
