I'm watching the second episode of season 2 and I'm still not impressed.

I just saw this the scene where the guy tried to serve whatever the hell Demi Moore's character's name is.

Can you imagine what would happen in the real world if the two bodyguards jumped out and pointed guns at him just because he walked up to her with an envelope in his hand?

That would be the richest process server on the face of this planet

LOL Just saying as someone that does EP no person with a brain would draw down like that while protecting an average client. It's a tv show so yes they are gonna try and gin up the scene.

Kinda brings up a good topic though. You can't always start your escalation ladder with a firearm lol. Always nice to start somewhere lower so you have an option to escalate. I see it A LOT with Leo's and Seurity goin straight to a gun to try and intimidate a person into complying. That's not really what a firearm is for imho. If you're not prepared to pew pew leave it in the holster. Even in EP work I carry a variety of less lethal.

LE is different as drawing down on a suspect can usually de-escalate by making the suspect understand resistance is hopeless. As a civilian now, I have always said I am unlikely to pull my pistol, but if I do I have probably already decided to shoot and you should put your fingers in your ears. This point illustrates the need for training to build competence, and confidence, in your ability to quickly draw from concealment and fire accurately.

Agree mostly but the Leo things a toss up. I seen a million times Officers draw their weapon only to have to reholster it to go hands on or chase a suspect. It DOES have an effect on normal people but between the drugged out whackos and the libtards who know cops ain't gonna shoot em for not complying it makes it tough. I have never been a fan of having to quickly reholster a weapon to engage a suspect. Bad things happen sometimes as their usually trying to retreat at the same time. A guy with a machete comes to mind in LA. Though that was a case of him being too close to the suspect when he shoulda just mag dumped him.
