what is everybody's thought on that XDM Elite 4.5 OSP in 10 mil

me personally I think I have my new favorite everyday carry seems to be very reliable shoots great and the recoil is nothing compared to what I'm used to. had it for a few months now and put maybe 500 rounds through it wondering what everybody else's thoughts are how reliable are they and has anybody run into any problems with them? thank you all in advance semper Fi and Happy New Year's

It's the next best option after the 10mm XDM 5.25 Competition was sadly discontinued.

how easy was it to install the trigger and how many pounds is it now? I've been thinking about doing some upgrades to it but it's already so nice I don't even know if they're necessary
Easy install if you take your time. My 4.5 OSP has the extreme trigger and it's 1 pound 15 ounces. My Elite 3.8 with the drop in is 3 pounds 5 oundes as checked with my Lyman scale.

I have the 9MM version. I’m working on the XDm-9 version then going to throw on an optic on my XDm elite then go for the XDm elite in 10MM.

I will do a comparison to my M&P M2.0 10MM when I get it.

I was at the range yesterday normally I'll shoot MagTech 180 grain and I carry nosler ASP for defensive rounds and I found that magtech is the closest I can get to that in comparison but yesterday I ran some Winchester white box 180 grand through it and my gun didn't like it for some reason it was kicking so hard that the fiber optic red piece on the front iron started to wobble out

I’m not a fan of Winchester. That stuff is so inconsistent and seems really dirty after a box. Which also reminds me that I need my M&P optic looked at before it hits me in the head again

Yea, don’t like Winchester ammo either, had way too many problems with it.

well I could confidently say that I'm not a fan of Winchester anymore either. I've never had issues with the 556 rounds or 9 mil but for some reason the 10 mil is just I don't even know how to explain it It didn't feel right The Magtech ran flawlessly though. what are you guys suggest for carry ammo? I have a mixture of 40 critical duty flex lock and that nussler ASp

Personally I use Hornady Critical Duty

I know I'm late to the party but I wanted to give you my official welcome to the forum from the frosty Wild Wild Upper Midwest. Thank you for your service.

I have the XDM Elite 5.25 in 9mm. It shoots better than I do. ;)

Just FYI, I've had some trouble with the Winchester white box 9mm, but not their NATO. I've not tried their 10mm 'cause I ain't got one.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

yeah and I'm kind of the opposite I've never really had problems running any of the Winchester white box but for some reason in 10 mil it was weird kind of off definitely overcast My XDM was launching them about 10 ft as to where the MagTech I had ran through it beforehand didn't go flying nearly as far but I'm glad I figured this out now before I waste money buying more white box thank you for the for the warm welcome I'm glad I found this forum now I know where to go if I have questions God bless from the Pacific Northwest
