My area of Ohio……

well, "they say" in my area, 1 to 2 feet of snow, but at least, no wind, or blizzard conditions.

i got gas for the 3 snow machines all set to go.

BUT, i might not have any fun with them, cuz in the past, when such a huge amount of snow is coming, at least 1 son sleeps over...but each has his own home to take care of as well...

anyway, i'll let them figure it out, as i go to warm up the BIG machine, and make LOTS of noise......

Back decades we'd have dumps of 12 inches or more every winter along with other snow falls, drifts of 30 inches or more were common in SW MO, now it rarely snows so this expected storm is scary for some, like they are running to Wal-Mart buying all the milk and bread like they expect to starve in place with 12 to 18 inches!
Oh, check your toilet paper inventory! Seriously, the real danger will be all the idiots out on the roads!

I'll think of you guys tomorrow when I ride my motorcycle in the low 80's, then Sunday at the range for another low 80's... but we do have another cold front coming Tuesday, with a high of low 60's. ;) May have to wear a sweatshirt that day.
I'm getting pictures of friends in Hawaii at the outside bars, on the beach, sailing and having moon light dinner, no motorcycle rides at their age. Wish you were here...........ME TOO!

what cracked me on national news was gov of NY, then some one in PA, then a NJ
all freaking out about the storm...hmmmm does it NOT get cold up there as part of normal winter?
my friend near rochester is out snow mobilling and enjoying a nice normal snow
mean while in north east texas.... stores are empty of water, TP and milk

and gas lines are 12 deep :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
at least the speed of the cold has been slowed for us, the gulf moisture ridge is pushing back, still 45 here

which cracks me up. N Texans and transplants here act like it will freeze for 3 weeks.
uhh... weather forecast calls for freezing temps from Friday PM thru Monday morning.
2 1/2 days. since your car wont be going out on the ice and most folks normally have enough food for 5 days, let alone get by for 2 days. Folks over react... again.

other side is all the folks that went grocery shopping last week end for normal weekly shopping didnt plan ahead for this week end. you were at the store. plan ahead.

yup my mom called me, had to go get gas, she she was feeling better
she was reporting the gas lines and lack of food

we went our normal monday ice cream re supply and lunch meat
weds at wall world picking up moms prescriptions , you would have thought the world had ended
42 now, rain is awesome, its soaking in , we need it bad
going to be watching captain Kangaroo ,
might play solitaire till dawn with a deck of 51
cant count flowers on the wall as its just wood :ROFLMAO:

It DOES but and it even snows; but we havent had forcasts for this much snow for maybe 20 years. Four to six inches is manageable Over a foot is kinda spicey
over a foot of snow
i would have never figured a foot or more is major, never really paid it much mind until this year
please be safe in the outings in the snow.

2 inches here is an extinction event for some :ROFLMAO:
