The PTR91 Project

USMC6094

Professional
Earlier this month I picked this rifle up. I'd been Jonesing for one for a very long time.
After bringing it home, I ordered the usual parts, sight adjustment tool, magazine loader, bayonet mount, German load bearing gear.......
The first change was the narrow handguard. I found a new in the wrapper Serbian produced wide replacement handguard.
As illustrated in the pictures.

Next addition is a collapsible G3 stock, modiified to have three, or four positions, as opposed to the usual two, open, and closed.....

VERY Cool I do love the G3 guns. If you havent already check out the AK4D. The Sweds decided to keep their G3s active when they switched to 556, by turning their G3s into DMR guns. They modernized them with a M4ish style stock and a couple different optic options

I wanted a G3K (12" barrel) for years. I finally gave up waiting for it and bought a PTR 12" version. It seems just about the perfect size for a suburban rifle

Mine has the forward of the rear sight mounted picatinny rail for optics mounting. I figure I'll put an LPVO on it.
I'm not completely sold on the HK collapsible stock, as there are viable, folding, and adjustable options.

Never again, just no… Century is on my do not ever buy from list. Even if it was my grail gun, if they made it… no!

I have heard that PTRs are great though, so that’s a good buy!

Century did sell a G3 type that was made by PTR. A near identical copy of the PTR91
