So a co-worker asked me out of the blue if I wanted any .40 ammunition. He has a lot. A LOT. That he wanted to get rid of. I asked him about it and he said that when he was at his old agency he had carried a Glock 22. This was a small agency; 3 officers. There he had to buy all of his own equipment, minus uniforms. Ammo wasn't hard to find but you only had what you had. So he stocked up.
Since coming to this agency where he is issued a Glock 45 he is tranitioning to an all 9mm lifestyle. So he does not need or want the ammo. I asked him about the Glock 22 he used to have. He said that it, a Gen 3, and a never shot Gen 5 (not the MOS version) were also for sale. His plan was to sell it all and invest in getting a 43x MOS with all the go fast goodies he could for it. Meaning dot, light and sights.
Sooooooooooooooooooo..... here I am with no Glock 22 and two 43x pistols. Let the bartering begin.
I was willing to trade my 43x MOS, with a Holosun 407k, red dot/suppressor height sights and TLR-7 Sub. Along with spare mags, holsters and so on.
We ended up trading. I got his Gen 5 G22 with a TLR-7A, four mags, 500 rounds of .40, two holsters (one duty, one paddle kydex) and $100. He got the 43x MOS with the dot, TLR-7 Sub, three holsters (one duty, one paddle, one IWB) and four mags. Probably going to buy more of the .40 ammo later, but others had shown interest in it and I do have some already.
My new never shot G22. Already swapped the TLR-7 A onto my
CZ P-07 and put the TLR-7 from it onto the G22.
I still have one 43x. I won't let it go. This is the one where I got the slide from a craft fair. That alone makes it a keeper to me; and one of the reasons I live where I do now. Craft fair, who'd a thunk?
