They got a list but man so hard to find stuff it's crazy. Sadly we need more calfornia compliant buttons on firearms sites lol. So they can sort thru the millions of guns we can't have and show us what the minion allows us to have.

I'm lookin for a .40 semi auto would prefer comp'd 4 inch or shorter with a green dot. I can always add my own so long as there's a cut for it. I liked the echelon but it's on 9mm :<( . Any thoughts?

Seeing as I retired in 1993, then moved to Utah in 2001, when my wife could also retire, I am most happy. My ID still allows me to carry in Cali, but I am in no hurry to return. The oldest lives in the Ventura area,so we visit every other year. There is life outside of SoCal, and jobs out there for retired cops! I know I worked them!

Hi,

I just picked up a S&W Mod 2 CORE, in .40 S&W, which has a factory cut optics cut on it. It is I think 4"/4.25", and is a pleasure to shoot. I found it in a pawn shop and got a good deal on it. The reason that I bought it was it was a good deal and I found another 1000 rounds of ammo for it. I live in SW Missouri, in farm country and I love it.

While living in CA, I also found it quite inconvenient shopping for handguns. The roster... https://oag.ca.gov/firearms/certified-handguns/search ...can be searched with rudimentary criteria:

Out of 905 entries total, 46 were found searching for the terms [.40] and [4"]. But then you must search through model numbers and SKU numbers to really find out details about the roster entries. Sometimes I would just visit Turners Outdoor, Bass Pro Shop, or other LGS, and talk to a knowledgeable salesperson. It's a hassle, and you probably know all this. I can feel your pain. Thanks for letting me commiserate.

Thank you for your indulgence,

Hi,

One more thought. CA LEO can buy off roster guns. I've heard there is a protocol when the LEO wants to sell privately. I used to visit the calguns.net forum. Poke around over there. They might know of one that's on the roster, or can tell you more about off roster gun sales.

Thank you for your indulgence,

You mean a M&P. Usually can tell the 1.0 and 2.0 apart is the trigger. S&W is a little weird but has a 4” and a 4.25” model. I’ve got 2 of the M&P’s in 4”
