When wifey and I went to Lahaina on Maui, we'd buy coffee in the early morning, listen to the surf, birds waking up, and for the sun to rise. If I didn't hate flying in a winged Greyhound bus full of idiots, I'd consider going again.

I've sworn off travel for my Fed job because of the stupid it takes to do it.
I've traveled around the world on Uncle Sam's dime already, and there's a younger generation that needs to step up and be counted, and carry thier weight.........

Best flights I ever had were with NO other passengers. One was a commercial flight from Seattle to Montana in a turbo-prop, the other was in a C-130 from Guam to Kaneohe Marine Corps Air Station, Hawaii. Free flight, blanket and box lunch.

Just got a fire watch warning. All the wind coming and area is bone dry could add up to trouble. Mountain has no snow on it and we haven't had a lot moisture this winter. Sure do hope this doesn't happen because after fire comes the floods during the summer and that would be devastating for the mountain communities.
