GB addiction

Here’s one I think is overpriced and made me laugh.
Yes it is, that's a sweet shooting gun though and the sight cost much as the gun.

I have 2 pretty good LGSs near me that give me great prices. Beats the online places by the time you add the CC fees, shipping fees and still have to pay the FFL transfer fees.

They are so good to me it makes it very addictive. Knowing they are so close to my home makes it even more addictive.

The addiction was so bad there for a while when I was in the store minimum once a week using buying my Black Rifle coffee as my excuse to be there! 😉

I’m thankful that the 2 LGS I like are about 2 hours away from where I am. Both have nice toys and one can really get me in trouble if I didn’t live in Illinois but Iowa.

100 bucks to ship this gun
YEP the shipping costs some want can be crazy.

...and then the guys who wont take a credit card as payment confound me. I won a auction on Jan 27th. Its now Feb 17 and the gun still hasnt arrived. He charged $50 for second day air. I told him it was legal to send it direct since it was going to a gun shop BUT he insisted taking it to his dealer. The dealer sat on it for THREE days before having UPS pick it up So much for 2nd day air.

There’s always some strange stuff that happens. Yeah Illinois laws are bad but if I have a bad feeling about it then it’s a fail safe for me. I had one of those before and never saw the listing again.

The best job I ever enjoyed was working for a LGS. I liked the 8 years there until Covid showed up and closed the store down for 2 months per order of our governor. I called it quits.
Shucks. I worked a my LGS when I was in college. I don’t think I ever brought home a paycheck, but I sure had all the fishing tackle, hunting clothing, guns, and gear out the ying yang, lol

I just saw that my local LGS/Indoor Gun Range is getting closer to re-opening after the original owner retired and sold out. They just today put out an announcement looking for full and part-time sales/gunsmiths. Gunsmith training will be provided. I don't know if that means on the job training or sent to a course training. I know the former full-time gunsmith is returning. As I am just freshly retired, I might have to look into the part-time gig.
