"More than half a million women and girls in the United States are living with the physical and psychological scars of female genital mutilation — including many in Minnesota, home to a large Somali community from a country where roughly 98% of women have undergone the procedure, according to United Nations data.

Yet despite a state law that makes performing the procedures a felony, Minnesota has never secured a single criminal prosecution under its law — raising questions about enforcement, and whether cases could be going on undetected.

Female genital mutilation, or FGM, involves the cutting or removal of parts of a female’s genital organs, typically for cultural rather than medical reasons. The practice is irreversible."
 
Its done so the woman wont enjoy sex, and therefore wont be inclined to cheat on her husband (when shes married to him at age 13). The Saudis still use puzzle rings as wedding bands, the idea is that if a woman takes off her ring the puzzle will fall apart and show the she been unfaithful

Honestly I could give two bowel movements what THEY do or believe; but if they want to live in the 8th century could they at least be limited to 8th century weapons

....and why is it OK for a muslim woman to have her drivers license picture taken when shes wearing a burka and use that as photo ID to buy a gun; but an Amish guy who doesnt have a photo ID cant buy a gun?

I believe it's a little more than that.
They include removal of the clitoral hood and clitoral glans (1-b); removal of the inner labia and removal of the inner and outer labia and closure of the vulva. In this last procedure, known as infibulation, a small hole is left for the passage of urine and menstrual fluid, the vagina is opened for intercourse and opened further for childbirth. FGM is commonly performed without any form of anesthesia or analgesia and with non-medical equipment such as razor blades.
FGM is conducted from days after birth to puberty and beyond. In half of the countries for which national statistics are available, most girls are cut before the age of five.

My Brother in law was one of the only Air Force's ground pounders. He'd infiltrate enemy territory and call in air strikes. Got into a few firefights as well. He told me that one of the towns had men driving through with young boys in the back of their trucks...showing their status. Their private sex slaves. Then those same boys grow up doing the same. That some sick shite.
