Let the Debate Begin! Best CCW of 2026 Ariticle…

Twenty Two Rimfire? No. A fine killer, but a poor stopper. And the object is to STOP the threat. If one is that recoil sensitive, try the KelTec PMR 30 in 22 magnum. I won one at a NRA Benefit Dinner and despite what the Interweb says about KelTec mine has never missed a beat. Admittedly I am on about 700 rounds in. I gave it to my mother, it is loaded in the kitchen. My old man is 85 and still carries a Detective Special. Old Me is right, what works for you is the right answer. Just make sure you carry. Most of us on this forum seem too old to go hands on anymore!

Oh, and really there is no debate. Alloy framed Commander length 1911 is the one true answer.

OK, you can start throwing rocks at me now.

Hi,

I found it interesting that they mentioned the Glock 45 was on the big side for concealed carry but said nothing similar about the CZ Shadow 2 carry, which is big AND much heavier!

I think it would be interesting to collect a bunch of "best of" articles for the subject of concealed carry. Here's my contribution...

It also mentions the Hellcat. ;)

Anyone else got another "best of" article to share? When we're tired of this, we can move on to the "best of" something else. :p

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Hi,

A few more "best of", a lot of the same but a few surprises too.

The Mod.3 gets a mention in this one...

This one mentions the PSA Dagger...

There's some overlap, SIGs and Staccato, Glocks and Rugers. I think it's all fun and interesting.

Right now my VP9 and Mod.3 get all the carry duties.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

The weather doesn’t make any difference to me. If I’m wearing a big overcoat or I’m wearing a T-shirt, I can carry the same guns. I believe it was in the mid 80s today never really looked at a thermometer. I have my Glock 26 Stuffed in my waistband and a Smith & Wesson 638 in my pocket wearing T-shirt and shorts.
