VA at it again...

Well it seems this month's effort to reduce VA disability benefits is going to utilize an AI program to seek out fraud and implement immediate action. We all know that AI is fool proof right? Yet other groups in this nation are ripping off the government/tax payer in plain sight but instead they focus on those who've served. I wonder what next month will bring?

yup
it seems they like easy targets
i am sure it will come up tomorrow at my doctors visit
i have a whole hit sheet of crap recently
like why all the sudden the pharmacy cant mail your meds until the day after you run out, even though you refilled them on time.
and why the phones just ring and ring and ring, no one answers
3 days now to return a secure message to the clinic
mystery cancelling appointments without notice
milking the 180 days to pay travel pay for doctors visits to VA, love the part when you finally get that office to answer a call
the lady says OH, i will process it today, the new system they forced upon us is supposed to be faster and efficient...well we all know the answer to that

I am sure there is some fraud going on in the system. Whenever there are humans involved it's just a known fact someone will take advantage. When will veterans understand that the government hates us. As we get older we become a burden. They used our youth and now they want us to disappear. It's our own fault, we elected the people that are taking away your healthcare. This is one of the reasons I stay far away from the VA and their BS.

Yep. I hear ya. The husband’s hide is singed pretty bad from jumping through their flaming hoops. 😒

I'm 100% VA disabled and could use the VA for health care, but I do not. I still keep my insurance and use them for everything. I just don't trust the VA around here. My wife is on CHAMP VA coverage but still hasn't used that yet. She still is covered under my private insurance and uses that. She can use CHAMP VA as a secondary but hasn't so far. Lots of hoops to jump through for her. I'm not worried about the VA re-examining me, all my disabilities are legit. And if they did decide to drop down my %, I have several other service-connected disabilities to claim, and just never did. My VSO said once I had reached 100% disability with the VA, to not rock the boat with further claims. You won't get anything more out of it, and it opens up the chance of everything else being re-opened for examination.

Are you medically retired from the military?

The VA recently opened a large new clinic in my area. About two weeks ago had appointments cancelled due to lack of personnel at the facility, don't know what's going on. Don't want to become a target by asking too many questions.

Being a retired federal employee, I still always look at federal jobs on usajobs.gov just to see what's out there. For the most part, there is still a federal hiring freeze. But that does not affect the VA. I see lots of job openings there. From what I see, the VA and Border Patrol are always hiring. There must be a high turnover rate at the VA.
