Will be going for the afternoon walk soon with the husky. It's a little windy but should be ok. Have had to change up the routine we used to have per advice from Police Dept. Also don't walk when its dark outside. They say he is all talk and no bite but I am not taking any chances. They also told me to carry everywhere, especially outside because you never know when the crazy just might come around. I have not seen him since Thursday. I hope he stays away for his sake. When someone threatens me and my family it's serious and not a game anymore. Also read where a 9 year old threatened to shoot another kid at the roller rink we have here. Several adults stepped in and held the kid until police arrived. He did not have a weapon--only his mouth, but people are just getting fed up with all of this. I'm sure eventually someone will get hurt.

Having me a bowl of New England clam chowder on this cold afternoon. The mister has left the building for his job up north.
I am chasing the chowder with a nice chocolate pistachio stout.

i have to ask
what is DUBAI chocolate in a beer

now my curiosity is peaked
i did find this and it sounds very very tasty

i have not had a beer or such in about 4 years,
i was on a great diet and some reason the shiner bock was contrary to loosing weight..i could not burn off the carbs
but lately my taste buds say BEER buddy

Well, this particular brewery has a knack for pairing up some nice flavors. This dark stout has a nice hint of chocolate. They say it's Dubai chocolate but honestly, I wouldn't be able to tell that from Hershey's myself. I tried one with my friend on Friday that was called Goober Principle. It was an imperial stout that was aged in Buffalo Trace barrels for 14 months and then conditioned (whatever that means) on peanut butter and Oreos. Man that stuff was rich! Wouldn't want more than 6oz of the stuff, but you could taste each flavor consecutively. Between Guns, Whiskey and craft beer I could go broke very easily.

that sounds very rich for a beer, and dessert
and tasty
we had some kolaches (real, no pigs in a blanket) in hill country years ago
so rich you could only eat half at a time.
Boerne texas, they had beers that were like a meal
and the best sliced beef sandwhich i ever ate, made from prime rib that was left over sunday night
they failed during covid...it was worth the 3 hr drive

I visited Boerne several times when my mom lived in San Antonio. I loved visiting the country out there. I will have to make a trip there again, when I can travel down to visit my stepfather’s resting place at Ft. Sam.

let me add
i spent all week working on the boat, solving the leak, cleaning the bilge getting it all read to put down some fresh bright white paint.

today the weather nerds scream FREEZE warning,
this afternoon i drained both engine blocks and exhaust manifolds, of course they drain into the once sparkling clean bilge
it had better freeze like the artic or i am going to be one Pissed sum bitch for a few days
start re cleaning weds i guess now
rant over
come on spring

one year texas highways magazine did an article on the kolache trail they calle dit, listed the top 10 or so places that made them the old way
we planned out a route and loaded up the rv and off we went. took a few months and gained some weight

then they posted the painted churches of schulenburg area and of course we got to re visit a few pastry places
