I have two, a P320 Full Size with an optic and a P320 Compact. Both are good guns. Reliable and accurate with triggers out of the box better than most. The thing is DO THEY GO OFF BY THEMSELVES? I've been following this for the past year or so and the consensus from Gun Dealers, Gunsmiths, and your average owner is NO. A few Gun Shop owner's went so far as to say that those in the industry know this but use the fear to promote it. Why? To sell higher priced guns and to buy Sig trade-ins cheaply. They have pointed out "Glock Leg" as a background. Sig of course swears up and down their 320's are SAFE. I'm keeping mine.

My understanding was that it was a design flaw.
As the years have passed stories and issues kept popping up. So, I never bought one and don’t plan on it.

In over 50 years of shooting, I've seen two, that's right, two malfunctions that could be attributed to the firearms. Two 1911s that had worn parts, specifically the sears. One let go in a match and the other was mine and let the hammer follow the slide home when a single round was in the chamber.
Any others I saw or heard about were operators error. Getting clothes in the way of holstering, fingers in the way, etc. And cops have been known to kill picnic tables, among other stuff like concrete floors and door frames.
Bottom line, the booger hook was on the bang switch when it ought not to have been. I will admit, I know nothing of the newer Sig models, but I suspect the shooters are more responsible than admitting.

Old news here, many discussions on here, comes down to holsters, poor or no training, and if you noticed, it’s mostly law enforcement or military who this seems to keep happening to. Personally, I wouldn’t lose sleep over this.

I’m of the opinion that were it a flaw the number of unintended discharges would off the charts.
