The Iranians used B.S. propaganda to get some civilian compassion. They said that when they chant those nasty sayings about America, they mean the government, not the people. What a crock. They liked the American citizens so much, that they kidnapping 52 of them and held them for a year.

We are! Trump should have lit up a few things. They need time to dig out the hardware we have buried by bombing the entrances. Far too much is stored deep inside of granite mountains we couldn't destroy.
Either way unless they completely and unequivocally surrender, they have already won. They stood up against the Great Satan and was able to walk away, to them that's a win.
They are still stuck on that we need to pay them billions of dollars for the stuff that we have destroyed. Obama gave them pallets of BILLIONS of dollars. Sleepy Joe unfroze billions for them as well. They just need to outlast Trump and they figure they are back in business with the Democrats that keep giving in to them.
Trump should have flatten a couple of power plants for good measures. Pakistan's also in cahoots with China, SO that should be suspicious x 1000.
Pakistan was also helping the Taliban while we were in Afghanistan and they were getting money from both sides.
Need I say more?!

The Persian Empire have been at this for many thousands of years. Long before the great, great, great grandparents of the founding fathers were born. To keep expecting them to bow down to the west is foolish. Cutting the head off a snake that can continually re-generate heads is a losing proposition. The powers that be there will always be the powers that be. The people are just cannon fodder. We will not teach these people any lessons. What we need to do is look at an alternate to the Straight of Hormuz and take Iran out of the picture - like a canal through the UAE and Oman. We probably could have built one with what we’ve spent bombing Iran.

I dont understand a cease fire without COMPLETE capitulation. There was no cease fire with Germany OR for that matter Japan. We bombed their cities into rubble waiting for them to say "uncle". We nuked Japan and when they hesitated, we nuked them again.

Why are there still bridges standing? Why are there factories, universities, "community centers" AND fresh water plants instead of "used to be" all of those? Total War is just that TOTAL Otherwise its just a weapons testing ground.

Total capitulation or Total destruction.

Anybody but me wonder why it’s a “war crime” if we (or Israel) hit infrastructure, but it’s hunky dory for Iran and their proxies to do so? Somehow attacking a music festival seems a heck of a lot more of a war crime than hitting a power plant or a bridge.

US made almost no effort to win anything in Afghanistan. Look how long it took to even use the first MOAB. US could win just about any war their goaded into (short of mutually assured destruction types), if it were to use all conventional resources at its disposal. Just my opinion, of course, but any war their US gets bogged down in, it seems to be only because they don’t want to win…usually do to the political nonsense that is our hard broke Congress.
