New Kimber 2k11 Comp

I’ve been checking out the Kimber 2K11 Comp, and it feels like Kimber really pushed into the modern side of the 2011 platform with this one.

The built-in compensator is what stands out most , it seems to keep the gun flatter and smoother during faster shooting, which is where these kinds of pistols really shine. Add in the optics-ready setup and double-stack capacity, and it’s clearly geared toward performance rather than just tradition.

It’s interesting seeing how far this style of handgun has come from classic 1911 roots into something much more speed-focused.

Anyone here spent time with one? Does the comp make a noticeable difference in real use?

Here it is: Kimber 2K11 Comp 9mm

I have four 2K11s and they are all great. The Comp is everything you would expect. Very smooth, very light recoil and gorgeous. The 2K11 Pro Comp is also pretty good, but the uncomped version is actually a better shooter. If you get a chance rent a Sig P211 GTO. It’s not as pretty as the 2K11 Comp, but is a flatter shooter and the comp works a bit better.
