Well I like most anything that shoots but my favorite is CZ.
Nobody is really putting out a junk, full or partially compact 9mm.
I own over 40 just 9mm pistols.
And I do own a cz82 9x18, converted 82 in 32 acp and a nickel 83 380.

I purchased my first CZ this year, but it was a rifle, the .17 HMR Varmint. Beautiful furniture, and gnat's *** accurate. My sole gripe is the plastic magazine. Works just fine, but I'm not a fan. I'm so impressed with the rifle that now I've gotta' get myself one of their pistols!

I had never noticed how the slide looks to have more circumference than the grip on one of these before. Is this real, or a photographic illusion?

I carried 14 different handguns in a 42 year career. Half of them were S&W but quality issues have plagued them in recent years. I was issued a SIG M11 and became a SIG aficianado, which I still am. Then SA produced the TRP CC 1911, which for me is the perfect carry pistol. Guns and preferences evolve.
I also have to mention that I have high regard for upper tier Colt and S&W 1911's, Ruger revolvers, and for HK handguns

While I am a 1911 man, and freely admit in the 90's a Springfield Armory knocked Colt of my hip, the S&W 4516 did woo me away for a while. Double action makes sense to me, and does not scare girlfriends like a cocked and locked 45. You have to play to the crowd sometimes. Not anymore since I am happily (if unexpectedly) married. But back in the day, the first time a dame saw a 1911 sometimes they were freaked out.
