Can you spell “Cook County”? It has dominated (and basically ruined) Illinois for decades. When I was a little kid in the 50’s everybody knew that mayor Daly and his cronies ran the state-and it’s not ever got better

Didn't Glock redesign the new models so that they can't be altered to "full auto"?
I mean it seems, at least to me, Glock recognized the issue (maybe with some encouragement?), and fixed the issue.
I couldn't care less if you mod your Glock, but to blame (and punish) Glock for an aftermarket mod, seems about as dumb as blaming an auto manufacturer for an owner modifying the engine to perform WELL outside of the factory designed intent.

As plays out in several states , a particular metropolitan area will have the majority of population/ votes and be hard left, while 70 - 90% of the state *geographically * will be conservative.

When l was actively lobbying in our state capitol, l frequently brought up various point on that theme , particularly framed to our existing laws .
Multiple Legislators actually responded ( only slightly paraphrased ) ' Oh No , we couldn't do that ! That would put more people in Jail . * Our Highest Criminal Justice Priority is to REDUCE the Incarceration Rates * ' .

And sadly these morons Believe that sort of thing. How bout reducing incarceration rates by fitting punishment to crime. A fair trial and a speedy hanging for those who deserve it would quickly establish more empty space for those who deserve less. You see clowns sentenced to terms far beyond any lifetime taking up space in prisons or sitting on “death row” for decades and countless appeals. When there is ZERO doubt that the thug in question is guilty of a heinous crime punishment should be swift and decisive. I personally believe such things would serve as a deterrent to at least “some” and it damn sure would deter that particular offender from bs in the future. Years ago Marion Federal Pen was “the”place where the bad actors were sent. There were characters there who had sentences in the hundreds of years range, yet there they were walking around. Many many cases of guards being attacked by these predators with shivs, etc. They eventually went to 23 hr lockdown to protect the guards. Would have made a lot more sense , protected the guards and saved a ton of $$ to have put these rabid critters down. We’ll do it for a rabid dog that can’t help what it does but we won’t for a two legged predator that knows exactly what they’re doing.
