Bryan Eastridge (a friend of mine) of AFR Official (American Fighting Revolver) and who manages and teaches at Revolverfest just announced on his FB page Kimbers is discontinued Revolver Production.

I wasn’t expecting that and will share more info as it becomes available

Just thought some would find interesting so if you like them and see some might want to snatch them up.

I really didn’t care for them, but they were popular, my lgs sold tons of them, hate to see any revolvers discontinued

They seemed like decent guns. Im not I see a large role self defense revolvers, and that may be the cause of the demise.

Revolvers are very popular. Revolverfest and Revolver rohndup sells our in short order with many first time attendees

Many places like TDI in Ohio have success woth revolver classes. When I taught at a local we added a revolver class due to the numbers of sales.
Both first time buyers and others that started with striker fired stuff and got interested.

Kimbers issue is they were never committed to revolver production like S&W or Ruger has been.

That said, There is a large number of sales in the 22 and 32 cal snubs the last 3 years or so.

I guess its a location thing

Dont misunderstand me I do dislike them, and I even carried SAAs for awhile but I dont think they are the best choice for an general use self defense gun. I do see some roles for them and Id rather see someone with a DA/SA revolver than no gun at all; but I think we have to acknowledge the limitations

...and I think too many first timers get steered into them because of 1970s thinking

I'm going out on a limb and say this is an internet hoax.
I've found this same comment attributed to different people, that they have heard from a "internal" source.
Kimber revolvers seem to sell very well.

Don’t worry you can still get a Rhino😏

Bryan wouldn’t have announced it if it was not fact checked. Bryan is one of the guys behind the S&W/Lipseys UC J frame as well as the new 3” Night Guard wheelguns.

He has his finger on the pulse of the industry since he is part of it.

Damn. I have a K6s 3” and love it. I was really hoping Kimber would expand the line. More calibers (.22 and .32) in that frame size would be great, and I truly wanted another, larger K- or L-frame size.

This is pretty disappointing to me.
