Went chootin, started out kinda bad, i got there and stepped off 75 good steps got everything setup. thought i'd use a sled to sight it in and see what it can do.

So i pull the charging handle back and line up everything and click, no boom. i wait a few seconds and then look and i can see the bolt is not fully closed. well i can't pull the charging handle back cause it's stuck good. i try a couple light mortars, didn't want to trash my scope. nope. didn't work.

I then separate the halves and pry the bolt back and that done it. so i tried another and it done the same, didn't get stuck as bad though. so i'm thinkin is this a 6.8 barrel. so i walk back across the street and get a chamber brush and bring back and brush it out real good. then i try it and bingo it seated. never done it again. guess it has some grease in it or something.

So then i'm ready to target shoot, took about 5 rounds to hit that little black dot. then i fired 4 more and it put em in one hole. I also put some goggles on in case it blew up.

So then i switched to my front only stand to see what i could do. it still put em in one hole. now i is gonna tell a story about that one flyer, ain't narn of you gonna believe me but it's true. a skeeter bit me on the forehead as i pulled the trigger and i jumped a bit. see ya'll readin this and sayin. he lyin big time.

Then i took it down the trail a bit and tried out the FRT with ten rounds. oh man what fun, then i came back and moved the target up to about 50 yards and shot some more and even tried the frt on it for a short. still done pretty good.

Picked this up yesterday. Gonna go out in the backyard and give it a whirl. Maybe some day it will grow up and even @Belt Fed might have a use for it. I had some big branches come down in my backyard, so maybe I can start on the small stuff, so my son doesn't have to do everything. Because of my back, I can't handle the real chainsaw right now. My son will tackle the bigger stuff when he has some days off and come take care of the bigger stuff for me. It sucks being all crippled up and having to depend on my son to do things I can't do right now. But I am very thankful that he can do these sort of things for me.

Have one of these came in real handy cutting hackberry away from our fences.

Still raining. We have had over 13 inches since 1 May and the drought is officially over.

Critters are fed and I am watching Perkins Builder Brothers on Youtube. That crew amazes me.

Today we put cabinet doors on my daughter's media room cabinets. Still waiting on the countertop material. Closing in on it!
Cabinet doors and hardware and shelves are in! A good rainy day endeavor.

We’re in Madera, CA staying with the husband’s people for a couple of days. It’s beautiful here. His nephew is going to take us on a tour of the “farm”. He grows almonds, tomatoes and grapes for Sun Maid raisins. Might go for a wine tasting later. Last night when we arrived we had pizza cooked in an outdoor wood oven.

If it wasn’t for the politics, I could live here. 😎
