Kuna Competition? Meet the Taurus RPC 9mm PDW

Those were definitely a different breed and a different mindset when being made. I'd absolutely carry one of them as well but A. I don't have anything that expensive currently lol and B. The price bracket they compete in is much more saturated now.

I'd have a hard time choosing between say a shadow 2 and a 2011 and a p229 today.

The market has moved on IMO.

I'll take a Kuna or MP5K. I think the benefit of these guns is their small size and not having a brace on these guns can make them *tiny* compared to the St. Victor and it's mandatory buffer tube/brace. For vehicle guns or concealed PDWs, roller delay really makes all the difference.

I can easily tuck my Kuna under my arm with a light jacket on top but I couldn't do that with a Victor unfortunately.

Without a stock/brace, isnt just a big heavy pistol?

With a tensioned sling you can create a third point of contact and utilize a larger rifle optic. So-called "SAS style". I feel confident I can shoot 25-100 yds with the Kuna on a sling but I'd be really stretching my abilities at that distance with a regular handgun. Plus 30 round mags and a 6" barrel are definite advantages in my books.

It's all about pushing it out against the sling and it actually works really well in my experience.

I have three PDW guns now in 9mm
I'm good .... Really like my PSA AR-V 9mm and Century Draco NAK9.

Would a slim brace improve performance without adding too much?

I find the tensioned sling offers like 80% the performance of a brace. Even folded it doubles the thickness of the gun and makes it stand out more on my body when concealed. So discarding the brace and making the whole gun less than 16" and about an inch thick is awesome.

When you push out against the sling, it really helps with recoil. Try it out the next time you're at the range. It will surprise you at how steady it can be. And without the brace you now have a much shorter, much more manueverable weapon. And since these are roller delay 9mm, recoil isn't huge to begin with.

It's how the SAS did the Iran embassy raid. MP5s on slings not really using braces.

If I was going to run a short PDW ARP with a brace like the St. Victor, I'd want it in .300blk probably, not 9mm.
