I am armed because I don't know how not to be.

Yep he got promoted to Corporal and sent to traffic division. It meant he worked M-F daywork and he thought it was a good thing so he could add a water feature to his lawn BUT real cops know the Shite happens on the weekend nights

Yuppers. The man should be promoted all the way to Personnel. (Remember what Harry Callahan said about personnel.)

What more can I add? There are crazed, malevolent idiots walking the streets who have no moral compass.

Pretty much the way I feel too.

I do a fair amount of criminal practice and therefore I am exposed first-hand to such individuals. I'd rather be armed and be the grey man with heightened situational awareness who is armed than unarmed and unaware.
