i am of the wondering IF this is like a Bull barrel, where you have remove the slide, then push the RSA forward to expose a tiny hole in the guide rod...(a real PITA) to expose a tiny hole in the guide rod, and insert a paper clip ( or tool you should have gotten with the gun) to hold the spring in place for a 1 piece removal....??

were you able to insert the tool into that tiny hole..????

you gotta really forcefully push that assembly forward to expose that tiny hole......

that's the main reason why i got rid of my S/A Emissary, that dang Bull barrel and the force my arthritic fingers had to use against that RSA.....easier for me to dump that gun, than to deal with the BS...

I tried it on both sides just in case and got nada! I even tried tpry it a little bit, but got bunpkis. Tried twisting the key to get some room, but nada again. The piece the spring fits into is the issue. I'll wait till I get home and try a piece that'll only hold the spring compressed instead of the key

I will say that your Romulus was a very snappy .45 to shoot.
