Bison Flips Grandpa in Yellowstone National Park

Ultimately, being a visitor at a National Park is one of those "at your own risk" deals. You can't sue the government for being injured by wildlife in their own domain. You are the trespasser in their domain. This is the case the vast majority of the time. I know this because I used to work for The National Park Service for five years at the Padre Island National Seashore.

No, that open range is their domain. If anything, put picnic tables, rest stops and scenic overlooks in protected fenced areas. And not allow visitors in the areas the buffalo roam. Or not be allowed to exit their vehicles in those areas.
This. You cannot blame a wild animal for attacks on THEIR turf. Bisons are what, the largest animal on the continent? Folks get into trouble when the interpose themselves in nature without respecting the natural environment they’re in. I have personally seen (many years ago) a woman in the Great Smokey’s encouraging her small children to “get close to the bear so Monmmy can get your picture”🙄. I sincerely hope the gentleman in this case is ok, but you have to be careful out their.

Sir, I respect you for a lot of things, but on this, you are dead to rights wrong. Disrespectful and being a 💩head about it, and being a penile troll
too bad YOU and others feel that way, my opinion on the bison stands..he went rogue, and went on an attack far from people standing just behind him...??

he needs to be put down.

but for all you bleeding hearts, then air lift him to another section in the park, far away....

and for that matter the park service too is again in my opinion, at fault for having a picnic area available......

best to just have people drive thru the area, rather than to stop, get out, set up the tables, and enjoy the park.

How much do you REALLY KNOW about bison (bovine just like cattle)! Many breeds have different demeanor! Several are somewhat tame and others are down right angry all the time! I would say bulls are worse than cows, but just like female animals with calves/cubs (and so on) are extremely protective! Bulls are more territorial. These AREN'T domesticated animals and wmeven those can attack. Now if they were apex predators that would be different. With decades of understanding bovine and how different breeds act i know these things. I believe there are a few on here that are knowledgeable about bovine that may chime in? 2 of these members have been on in awhile.

i can agree that many animals are territorial, and protective. but as i stated, and if you watched the video, you too would have seen the guy just behind the picnic table where that bison was, most likely too, it was someone maybe his wife, that was filming this.

if so, those people were much closer than gramps across the road, and the bison jets off to attack someone further away..??

again, rogue animal, maybe has distemper, and still needs to be put down.

that was only 1 video showing that particular bison going on the attack.

how many other attacks towards people or other animals has that bison been involved with..???

i took my meds, that's why i just woke up from my nap.....still in lots of pain. i can't stand the pain. but at least, i got the job done.
I thought you mighta been tryin out for that new movie comin out name Supermans great grandpa, but i kinda knew you wasn't gettin that part. you kinda stuck the landin pretty hard. and that flyin form with all four appendages flyin ever which a way was not a good look for a super hero.

Life in chronic pain DEFINITELY SUCKS! Hoping you'll find a better way to deal with it! A cure or fix hopefully instead of more meds!
for me, i know in my future, a knee replacement is coming.

i have had to this day now, 4 major back operations.

the back pains only come on when i over do my working around the house, when i cannot get my sons (or sons-in-law) to help.

then too, i grew up doing many things on my own, and at my age, i still don't learn to slow down, work has to get done on my schedule, not anyone elses.

as for the knee, well, anyone here knows that has had a knee replacement, that pain comes, and over stays its visiting hours, by days.

i gotta watch the NSAIDS pills, due to my kidneys not functioning all that well too.

but sheeet's gotta get done

my time is coming to an end, and imma wanna go out with a bang, not like a crying liberal sissy against putting down a rogue bison.
