Gun Test Magazine just sits an article on Pocket Carry, with their Top 10 Revolvers.

Though not surprising to me, there were Three Taurus revolvers on their list; an 85, a 605, and their Heritage Rosco. The Rosco was ranked #2. Here's their take on the Rosco, which i happen to own.

A lady friend of mine bought a Rosco with a 3" BBL. . I was really impressed with it being a lower class firearm. I installed a trigger spring kit in it and it helped the gun a lot.

I've owned quite a few of each through the years. Most of the ones I bought I really liked. And I paid right at $1,000.00,: give or take a few Hundred Dollars - almost all Well over $1K.

So, Taurus moved their operations to America. They have new leadership with focus on Quality Control of their firearms. Admittedly, they don't have any firearms priced at $1K, or above.

Yet some Un-biased mags have tested some of the Taurus guns, and have given them very good ratings when compared to S&W. I've attached a recent article from "Gun Test" magazine regarding their Top 10 pocket carry revolvers. Of the 10, 3 were Taurus guns! It Used to be that high price equaled high quality - but that was a long time ago. Today it means if you're still into Brand Loyalty, we Still sell guns for $1k or more!

I like and own Taurus firearms, Raging Hunter, 605, GX4 Carry and my favorite GX4 Compact which is my EDC pistol.

I’ve owned Taurus in the past and they were ok. The biggest issue I’m aware of is that, at least years ago, parts were impossible to get from the mothership-to the point I know of two very good gunsmiths who refuse to work on them. The rational? “Customer brings in a gun, I tear it down, need parts, and it’s next to impossible to get them and totally impossible to get them quickly. Guns here for a long time and customer gets mad. Far easier just to pass on servicing them”.
