Supposed to rain today, it was supposed to rain yesterday but didn't. Went on first walk, will do second one in a while. Have eye appointment today to make sure my left eye is ok after issue with it last month. Last month they thought my retina might be detached but it wasn't. This is checkup to make sure everything is ok. Just a part of getting older I guess.
 
BEAUTIFUL day right now...no Canadian or Minnesota smoke, no heat, no humidity, no medication......

yeah..the pharmacy contacted the doctors office more than once for my diabetic med.......

nuffin, after like 3 attempts.

i got off the phone like 4 minutes ago, the gal at the doc's office said, "it was sent in this morning"

i called the pharmacy, the gal there checked the 'puter, and yup, she said give them about an hour.......

this is not the fist time, nor i suspect the last time, there was a communications problem between the 2.....

but it puts me (and god only knows) other patients in a precarious situation...

ever hear of Brown University...???

they now OWN nearly every doctors office, lab, and our soul

i smell both a conspiracy and monopoly........

i dunno,

i gotta shower, take a dump, brush my teeth and shave....

maybe not in that order.......

then go and get my meds, come home, water the flowers, and take a nap.....

i'm exhausted.

Since wife got the big C, we cook at home and only eat organic these days. An organic garden is worthwhile IMHO. Won't give up my ice cream though; we have our own ice cream maker. Fresh strawberries or blueberries from the garden, yum!

My backyard is a postage stamp of pool and concrete. Planter boxes take up to much room and die quick in the Texas scorcher of full sun backyard. Grew up on a half acre garden, so do miss picking our own

The weather service said that we're experiencing the worst air quality on record, by more than double on whatever scale they use. The smoke is thick like fog. I thought Wisconsin was on fire. Yesterday’s commute was interesting in that, it was like driving through thick fog…but it wasn’t fog. It cleared off with a nice south wind.

Unfortunately it is starting to roll through again. After a while it feels like grit in my mouth. I call it “air you can chew”. 😒
Not sure if the pic does it justice, but the last time it rolled up like that, it just hung there and got thick. It’s about the only time we WANT the wind to blow at Mach speed.
