What are you doing right now??

Hi,

I just purchased the ssp eyewear that Basscliff talks about. I'll let you know how I like them.

I hope they work out for you. It's been a godsend for me. I'm about to order another set, a little stronger. I started with the 1.50, then ordered a 1.75. It looks like I'll need a 2.00 pretty soon. I'm not crazy about getting old but it beats the alternative, for now I guess. ;)

Thank you for your indulgence,

I just bought prescription sunglasses with the cheaters on the top so I can focus on the front sight. When I asked the sales lady if they could do it she was skeptical but asked the technicians who asked if I was a mechanic. Seems they make a lot of glasses with cheaters on both top and bottom for mechanics. Looking forward to trying them out once they're done.

In the recliner enjoying the newfangled electric AC unit and avoiding the heat. It listing 102⁰ today, so it's right normal for this time of year.

And to think, that I was running a crew in much worse heat.
it was 55 degree's this morning.........

so cold, after at least 2 heatwaves, and high humidity.......

i actually turned on the heater/defroster to 76 degree's..........🫣

tomorrow......up to 82...but night time temps all this week, , in the 60's.......

i think imma gonna have to ramp up the gas boilers soon.

great news from the sports doctors office earlier

he applied for approval of the gel injection, and got it.

his assistant told me it's 1 injection, instead of several, as it is more "powerful" then several smaller injections.

i guess blue cross would rather pay for the injection, than a full blown knee replacement...???

anyway, its next month, on the 10th when i see him again, and get that gel into this old knee.

i just hope this shot will take me at least into 6 months of relief.......

Wow! Maybe I should've told my ophthamologist that I was a mechanic or painter. I've been told that there are safety glasses made for these professions that have the bifocal at the top, but I have not been able to find them. Live and learn.

The shooting glasses I use are at sspeyeware.com, specifically...

I probably should've mentioned earlier that you can also buy plastic stick-on diopter and apply them to your own safety glasses. It's a more affordable solution but can be a bit klugey. Something like this...

I tried these...

The plastic stick-ons can be trimmed to fit. I've tried them and they work just OK.
