Question - SA Operator with Threaded Barrel

First off, does anyone have experience with one of these (SA Operator w/Threaded Barrel)?

Having had a blast shooting my 9mm Shadow 2 Carry and FN Reflex suppressed, I’m thinking I might find shooting a .45 1911 suppressed as well (though I think I’ll have to get another suppressor - darn my luck) 😂.

It seems like these are the only ones that SA offers with threaded barrels and I’m very happy with the two SA 1911s I already have (Emissary and TRP CC). Don’t really want to drop Ed Brown, or similar semi custom money. They’re available for around $300 under MSRP at various sites. I’d likely go for the OD Green or Tungsten Gray. I think I can get a matching optic for either of those finishes. DISCLAIMER: Yes, I know I said I was probably done adding new guns…but alas, then I played with pistol suppressors 😂 😂 😂.

no experience shooting 1911's suppressed, but have shot lots of other .45's suppressed.
since you already are used to suppressed, your pretty much set except for a suppressor that will shoot .45's and this handgun of course.

I will say that the SA Operator threaded you linked is one sexy beast !!!!.:love::love::love:
I'm here to be the Enabler and tell you to go get that !!!!:cool:

Coyote brown. Lock it in and get it.
That was easy.
Or… OD Green. Hmmm.
Actually, my TRP CC is coyote brown…why I’m leaning toward ODG.

The deed is done, courtesy of Tombstone Tactical in Phoenix. If it’s like all the other purchases from there I’ve made, I’d expect an LGS arrival of next Wednesday/Thursday,

Now to decide an on optic (for which I have a bit to decide since I’m not ordering an AOS plate until I get the discount that comes with the gun purchase). Leaning toward an ODG Trijicon Type 2, but as this will mainly be for improving shooting skills at the range and using suppressed, I could go with something lesser and save a few $$ to put toward a better suppressor.

And holster shopping again. All my other 1911s are 4.25” commander sized and I don’t think this one overall 8.6” length is going to fit very well, if at all, I’m used to threads sticking out of holster, but this might be a bit too long, slide wise.
