Review: Springfield Armory Kuna .40

Hello all, here is today's article posted on TheArmoryLife.com. It is titled “Review: Springfield Armory Kuna .40” and can be found at https://www.thearmorylife.com/review-springfield-armory-kuna-40/.

The author or SA has the incorrect Primary Arms Red Dot link in the article.
I dont think this Kuna is running a 4.5x27 scope in lieu of the Prism discussed in the article. :)

I have the 9mm Kuna which shoots fantastic, it is very accurate with the pop-up sights (even for my old eyes) and has never had a single failure. And it looks great too, everyone comes over to look at it at the range.

I have always liked the 40 s&w caliber in my old Ruger SR-40 pistol for when I want more punch. I've never stepped up to 10mm since I'm happy with the .40. I'm sure I'd really like the Kuna .40 s&w, I'm just not in a position to buy one right now. Wish I was ... 😟

I hope the magazines are better than the ones i have.
I do remember reading one of your posts about broken Kuna magazines well before buying my Kuna and that was a little bit of a cconcern. I haven't been very tough on my magazines so they are holding up just fine so far. Then again, I'm not very tough on any of my guns or mags. I'm not a competitive run around shooter or speed shooter beating up my equipment for sport and quick times.

Maybe the later magazines were made a wee bit better ... hopefully.

I have right around 15 Kuna mags and 2 of them have slight cracks down the back of the spine. I dropped one on concrete while taped jungle style to another mag so it was 2x the weight. Not too bad. I'm chalking it up to early production issues because it hasn't happened since. I've not had much trouble finding them for sale and at $25 it's not a huge deal in my books.

But I adore my Kuna. It's perfect to tuck up under my arm while walking the dog. Light jacket or button up over top and no one is any wiser.
