Great company. Used to outfit my various strikers with parts from there…when I owned strikers !

Yep! And the guys over there are really friendly and helpful. I bought 4 extended mag bottoms and the grip safety from them. A bit pricey, but they work as intended. Have purchased some shotgun stuff (mag tube follower, etc.) from them, too.

Ok Guys and Gals, Here's my take. I spend a little time behind the counter selling firearms. Here is what I always do with a first time buyer. I ask what kind of handguns they have fired. If they have never fired a handgun, I will ALWAYS advise them to go to a store or a range and try out several different makes and models. If they have tried out several models and have found the one they like then I will sell them what they want. But I also will give them my opinion. And my go to for EDC id the Hellcat pro and regular carry is the Echelon. And my back country pistol is the XDM elite as I live is Grizzley country.

First rule should be, don't buy a glock or a clone of a glock, no matter how many people say otherwise!

When I'm going to the range with someone who hasn't shot a pistol very often I will take a 5" 1911, Compact, Sub C, and a Micro C. They are all 9mm. Go over the safety and operation then start blasting. Every person so far has found that shooting can be fun. The Compact size seems to win out on selection when we are done. The lack of exposure to firearms in general is a major problem. Hunting is declining (expense generally) and families no longer participate in shooting activities. I started (shooting) with my children when they were around 10-11 but always took them to the deer lease and the blind. When they were old enough to get a license they qualified and have continued down the road. Ask someone you know (open minded) who is not necessarily Pro Gun or an inexperienced co-worker to a range trip. Make the day fun and educational and maybe add a person to the group. Like many here I was exposed to guns at an early age and still cherish the days hunting with my Dad. We have the power to reduce the uninformed walking into a Gun Store, IMO.

yep. One thing I usually add is to make a well rounded visit out of their trip to the range. We get breakfast or lunch and then do something they want like look at new cars/trucks or go to an outdoor store or something else after the range time. Works like a charm and they have a positive experience. I'll accompany them to a LGS if they wish.
