I see a lot more people Open Carrying out here, relatively speaking anyway, given they're not a lot of people out here period. Really it's more like just open carried enough to be legal. Most people don't seem to notice.

I'm retired, I don't care anymore. I'm not being paid to enforce anyone's open carry policy.

I was trying to decide if I had an open carry policy for my home, like if visitors come over, which is a very rare occurrence.

The best I can come up with is if I let you come into my home at all then I trust you in my home with a gun.

Generally speaking I don't care what you do as long as it doesn't affect me.

Here in Idaho we have constitutional carry with few exceptions. Open carry is not common in town but out in the hills it’s common. In my medium size town I see it weekly when we’re shopping or running errands. Most folks here are used to it, less so in the city. Personally, I prefer concealed carry in public, open when hunting or fishing. Usually carry a Commander sized 1911 or medium framed revolver. Everyone I know does the same here. An armed society is a polite society, as they say.

I just registered, and I'll bet someone else did post this.

I live in Nevada. Open-carry pistols are great anywhere, except at any pubs, taverns, bars, the casinos, etc. where booze are served.
Establishments that I quoted, ALL should have signs up showing real clear on their doors and/or windows prohibiting firearms inside.

I do know for facts that there are establishments like these I quoted have signs up a their doors or windows prohibiting firearms inside.

And I do know for a fact that they're establishments like that that don't.

I quit drinking in 1982

I haven't been in an actual bar for almost 25 years(?) But I have been in the bar area of a couple of different restaurants which I'm pretty sure is a distinction without a difference. I was carrying a gun. It didn't jump out of my holster and start shooting people.

Generally, if you treat your gun right, they won't jump out of your holster and start shooting. You might have to give them a firm talking too some days, just the same.

It is never me, but I worry about the neighbors in close proximity and the influence they can have on it's behavior...

Publix new sign acknowledges our Florida right to open carry but says that in the interest of not exciting civilians "please" carry concealed. I respect their politeness as well as their 4th amendment right as property owners.
