We Need to Look at the Full Picture of What the Trump Administration Has Done for the Second Amendment

The second Trump Administration has thus far exceeded all expectations when it comes to its nearly unprecedented defense of the Second Amendment. While Trump’s first term gave us hugely important wins on judicial appointments at SCOTUS and the lower courts, that was just about all we got.

This term has been much different. We are still getting good judicial picks, but are also making so much more progress beyond that baseline. This has been the first time any Department of Justice has meaningfully championed the Second Amendment since the days of the Freedmen’s Bureau during Reconstruction.

Given that, it makes sense to note (see link) & maintain a list summarizing the Trump Administration’s actions related to gun rights.

Trump for President 2028
The Twenty-second Amendment to the United States Constitution was an addition to the United States Constitution that put a limit on how many times a person could be electedto be President. A person is limited to being elected twice, or once if they have already served more than two years as President. Congress passed the amendment on March 1947. It was ratified on February 27, 1951.

My question is, what're you going to do when they come for your guns? I know I'm a gonner. I'm the only moderate leaning / Republican within 100 miles. My shack will be torched in seconds and my head will be on a fence post before I can empty a magazine.

1st rule of a fight... if you dont have to be there then dont. But if you do 2nd rule get all your friends who have guns... and have them get there friends and join up 😁

When they come for your guns? When who comes for them? People have been saying they will come for our guns since Obama was elected the first time. Nobody ever came for them. In my adult life, the most gun restrictions that were ever enacted were done during Trumps first term, under his watch.

No one is going to come for your guns while there is a 2nd Amendment. That's been a scare tactic since the 1960's. What you do have to worry about is a genuine effort to add another amendment to the constitution that would repeal the 2nd amendment. That is a very real concern.

Well for several decades now the left has consistently pushed “gun control”, all the while indoctrinating our children to believe that guns (and those who own them) are somehow “evil”. A lot of young people are not familiar with firearms as hunting and shooting sports have declined. I suspect the next move will be a ban on lead for “the environment”, immediately increasing the cost per round of ammunition o a bunch (and further discouraging people from learning to shoot). 20 years or so from now all us old farts will be gone, andthe number of gun owners will have shrunk precipitously. You price things so that a box of .22’s are a buck a round and centerfire are$2.50-$4.00 a round. You have few who even want to buy a firearm and even fewer who can actually afford to do so and voila you’ve basically eliminated firearm ownership even though the 2nd is still on the books.

Bingo! But that's also going to take a majority of the states to pass that. The Democratic states will hop on board immediately.

Well Obama had a third term, his name was Biden and we know darn well that Obama was in the background pulling the strings.
So in all honesty Trump could be the vice president on the next term. Just like Putin did as well.
