Seeking Input - SA Ronin EMP 4”

So I’m thinking I’d like to try a 1911 built specifically for 9mm without spending $3k+ (Ed Brown, Atlus, etc.). Seems like the SA Ronin EMP might be the best (and most economical) option to try.

I know we had a long thread on a Ronin 10mm that was quite entertaining, but I think we all know that gun would have had to rely on spacers to work.

Any SA Ronin EMP owners out there care to offer their real world experiences? I’ll take input on both 3” and 4” inch, though my research indicates the 4” is more reliable than the 3”, but not sure that perspective is from actual buyers/users.
 
I have a pre Ronin EMP 4”. Frankly I believe they are THE 9 mm 1911-they just “fit”, much nicer imho that a full size 1911 frame with a magazine space so those 9mm’s will work. As an extra benefit it’s also easier to conceal carry than a .45 framed pistol. I sincerely like mine. If I want a .45 pistol it’ll bee packing .45 rounds. The EMP is a Great 1911 fully scaled to the 9mm.
 
I have one, shoots well, fits the hand well. i'm not crazy on how it breaks down. but that's not a deal killer.

I have a EMP CC and have zero complaints. 1911 frame designed for 9mm specifically and no issues to date

I’ve had a few you have to use a clip to get recoil assembly out (including my current Emissary). I did read about its clips and stuff, but I can figure it out. Heck, got a Staccato HD 3.6 apart and back together a few times now - without losing any parts 😂. Nice looking gun too I see.

I have yet to get the AF disassembled 🤬! Seems like the hole needs to be about an 1/16-1/8" further back for the recoil assembly to clear. Ill call AF when I get time this week. I talked with them 2 weeks ago abd they haven't released their 10mm Romulus yet. Supposed to be released 7/25-7/31.

Any of you have any issues with fiber optic rod falling out? I as because I bought an XD many many years ago, comfort zone grip and all. Could never keep that front sight optic rod in and I’ve shied away from fiber optic front sights since.

Ive had my 3" for a couple years and a bit over 2000 rounds and the fiber optic bar is still in place.
