Personal opinion - I think he is trying to completely throw the midterms and this is just another step in that direction. Most here stay on top of the primary and secondary headlines as I do and I’d love to see POTUS do some things to actually encourage independents to vote (R) in November. Or even to get (R) out to actually vote.
Instead of saying stuff like this article and alienating a huge (R) voting block…and yes I realize it’s NBC and probably spun a bit - but why not avoid it altogether?

yup i was making the point that carriers are not always after presidents and sara was not over 40 years ago, it was mid 90s i sailed on her before her last cruise,

IMO the navy lost its way about ships names some 25 years ago, and let politics get in the way of whats right

Agree completely, more-so Medicaid, and at the same time there are literally millions of non scammers using Medicare. Not a voting bloc that should be pushed into the opposing camp.
Find the scammers for sure. POTUS needs to quit making flippant remarks and his handlers need to do a better job.
On topic…I’m sure the POTUS ego will result in his naming a ship after himself. We can all speculate someone besides POTUS suggested it…just we all know whom ”likely” directed someone to “make it happen”. Another unnecessary distraction.
