i did an overlay of the 2 and both are within a 1/2" of the same. the cheekrest is adustable which i'm glad for that as i removed 2 shims and it's a bummer the bottom piece doesn't remove for a better look

iirc the pre64 mod70 has it on the barrel as the savage 110's in 300wm and 338lm has it on there also. this is at the muzzle which makes it nice as under the hg can be a pita to read.

btw, there's an option to not have it at least from x-cal. not sure about other custom ar makers

more case capacity = more energy. the fed requires an ar10 where the arc the ar15. that's about the only way i can compare the 2? arc is maybe a better use for subs than the fed also.
