so about that water into wine thing. Anyone can do it, all it requires is HARD work. Missus has a relative that runs a vineyard/winery. Long hours and much physical labor. Eventually all that water one puts into the fields does turn the plants into growing grapes and then, wine! With much work by them throughout the process. The process is the same always, lots of work and then a result.

I see trump just promised $5000 to each person if gop keeps the house. Another straw on our backs if that nonsense happens. Printing more monry to buy votes. Hopefully a lie.

Remember the tariff checks? Haven’t seen mine yet. Oh, and where’s my Trump phone to call and check on my tariff checks?

There are roughly 245 million adult citizens which means $1.225 trillion in checks—about 3.8% of current $32.5T GDP. That would add the full amount to the already $2T+ FY2026 deficit, pushing debt past $41.3T.
The yield curve would be under even more pressure than it currently is.
With inflation already at 3.4% (and above 2% for 60 consecutive months), oil near $100 and diesel at $5.94, the demand surge would raise prices another 1-3 points via higher spending, forcing the Fed toward tighter policy and higher interest rates.. It’s not the party of fiscal conservatives.

I don't disagree necessary, but before we single out DJT, both parties have been doing that since the "great society" and before. Just like paying mothers (yes, I'm a male chauvinist sexist pig GET OVER IT) to stay home and raise their kids. :mad:

Free housing, welfare, money and other stuff for immigrants and inner city has been the mantra for the left for half a century. $5000 a person is a drop in the bucket compared to the per person avg our illegal aliens get
