Hi folks hope you are ok,sunday last week Kate said back of her head hurt to touch and kept being sick,finally got her to the doctors wednesday he looked sent us to the hospital thought she had a bleed on the brain,hospital thought the same sent for a CT scan,came back clear but wanted to do a lumbar puncture to rule a bleed out (ct is not 100% conclusive), results came back as Viral Menengitis,scared the hell out of us as that stuffs nasty and can kill you,she stayed in hospital 5 days had a total of 12 IV drips and 2 saline drips,god knows how many tablets,as well as her 12 tablets for epilepsy and other stuff,shes on bed rest for this week at least as she only came home sunday afternoon.
Doctors said they dont know how she caught it or who from,but things like this makes us realise how fragile life can be and how lucky we are to still have each other.
