day before i called installer to confirm work could be done in my rv garage.. YES
confirmed truck would have a short jack to lift up the rear trailing arm suspension YES
confirmed tech would arrive between 8 and 9 am YES
tech arrived 930
walked tech around bus... no go on doing it in the garage... which really wrinkled the job. i had already lifted bus up on to blocks so suspension was only weight he needed to manage to do the work.
so i had to have tech wait for nearly 45 minutes while we got bus off blocking and out the door, where tech insisted driveway was not big enough on driver side (5feeet of clear concrete , with 20 of grass after that)
i stopped with front tires clear my outside wall with 6 feet, he conceded
got fronts up and done, i ran genny to exercise it and the ac units
then pulled fwd so rears would clear the garage outside wall, placed jacks down to just touch to stability bus
surprise... his jack was tooooo tall to fit under the jack point on the suspension
soooo i had to lift front a bit then about an inch on the rear... which was not the plan, as i had the bus supported with cribbing in the garage
rear tires were broke down, and new ones done and installed
really unhappy with the whole cant do it in the garage bit, especially after everyone in the LOOP said YES
first he had only 50 feet of hose, so i offered my compressor and hose and he could not use them for liability ??
after he figured out i was NOT driving 50 miles to his shop to have tires done, he actually was a great installer, did a fantastic job etc
worst part was the garage with the big door open for hrs, its got to 97 inside and that took long time to bring it back down
next, polish wheels, put center caps back on and take a run to settle the balance beads
