What’s a firearm everyone seems to love that just didn’t work for you?

P365. Could I hit a target at 10 yards? Yep. Conceal well? For sure. Put several thousand rounds through it over a few years, and point of aim just never felt natural. If I need ultra conceal, and natural point of aim….it’s my PPS M2. All day….blindfolded.

Glocks. the HK VP series gives me a blister on my trigger finger. my cousin's tavor jams like crazy all year and worse in the minnesota winter so i dont like it. Tried a saint victor and it shot like trash so it doesnt work for me

Winchester 94
The ones I’ve had or tried felt cheap compared to a Marlin 336. Granted, I’ve never had a pre-64 one, and likely won’t.

i have my great grandpas 94. over 100 years old and shoots like a champ. it has an old weaver 2 or 4x mounted on the left side of the receiver that works pretty great to.

Walther PPK. I prefer to keep the flesh and underlying structure of my shooting hand purlicue intact. Nice to own as a piece of history…terrible to shoot in any type of quantity!

Had 4 models years ago that were friends have massive FTF, parts break like firing pins, and just not a fan. More for those that love them. Not me

I almost went down the Canik path - their price points are compelling and their fanbase is rabid. But I started with Ruger and then migrated to Springfield. In an act of Glock defiance, I went with Walther when the PDP F-series was released. I'd put an out-of-the-box Walther up against Glock any day.

Sig P238.....an older model that was not ambidextrous. Every time I shot the pistol, my wedding ring (left-handed) would whack the slide release, and it would fall onto the ground. Also, not very accurate, and I am generally very accurate with my pistols. Even lost a shooting competition using that little gun. Grrr. Gave it to my dad.

I was a wet behind the ears kid when Winchester made the '64 transition on their several lines. I remember having the opportunity to handle both new pre-64 model 94s and new post-64 94s side by side when my Dad would take me by the local gun stores. The post-64s were definitely rougher feeling to operate and they just did not have the same "solid" sounds that the pre-64s made when the action was cycled.

I know this may come as a surprise, but I just can not do Glock… hear me out. I already know what most will say, “they’re reliable…” yada yada yada.
Here’s the thing… there are a few reasons… the most important reason is the grip angle. It’s not natural aiming. I don’t like the need to articulate my wrist to find my sights. I prefer the sights to find my eyes. If it doesn’t aim like a 1911, get it out of here. Second, they aren’t innovative at all. It’s literally the same gun over and over… no shotgun, no rifles… just switching slides, calibers and grips. I feel like they are taking advantage of poor Glock guys. They release a new version and all they do is undercut the trigger guard. Triggers and sights are awful. Perhaps it’s just me. I want to get one, but I won’t until they fix the grip angle, and present something new… and not some contraption you connect the Glock to to make it a Pdw…

I’m with you. Glocks just feel like crap in my hand. I don’t like them at all, and frankly, have yet to be convinced that they are truly a “safe” pistol to carry, esp as a CC.. I know that the fan boys are always “it won’t go off unless you pull the trigger, and while that’s true aren’t ALL firearms Supposed to go off when the trigger is pulled? The fact that people sometimes pull a trigger unintentionally is exactly the reason firearm safeties exist in the first place. Folks can (at least so far) still carry what they wish, but I’ll stay with an “old fashioned” design that includes a real safety vs a trigger dingus…every…single…time. YMMV.

Well, for me it’s Glock. I tried. I really did. They just don’t do it for me like my HKs . I still don’t own a SIG, but some day my prince will come….
