Well today was the day I realized be patient can pay off. My mom actually shot the CZ SP01.

She did a lot better than I did when I started shootin. But that isn’t hard when I buy someone else’s targets.

The target was at 5 yards and she is getting over the initial hurdle of firing a round. She also shot the clip.

All in all it was a positive experience and now she started looking at hand guns in Iowa.

I was also instilling the 4 rules of gun safety.

LOL...LOL...LOL

i have shot a "few" of those expensive clips as well....

now, i just buy the smaller ones.....and haven't shot any....!!!!

women do not let their ego get in the way of concentration.

a couple more times of practice, and she will be grouping nicely.

She was nervous till after the first shot. I just went through the motions. Luckily I have a quiet range to go till I figure out a family membership somewhere.

I think we all did at one point.
yeah, but it sucked BIG TGIME< when i had just bought a new set the week before....LOL...LOL...LOL

the "main reason" why i bought mine (at Staples) was that the range fans are set up, to blow air down range...and they are stationed at EVERY port.... no way to adjust them, as a result, our targets go "flapping in the wind".....so you never really get a good clean shot where you are aiming.

those clips do a darned good job of holding the targets steady...until we blow one away, that is...LOL...LOL...LOL

Oh I agree. I have had a few that didn’t like holding anything. This one was still holding on for dear life.

Now my mom wants to go shooting today but I got a big adult problem. That’s called work.

you must already know this, but if not, it does bear repeating, especially for nearly any CZ hand gun...

make sure you show her how to use snap-caps and how to reset the gun when she racks the slide. to insert another snap-cap.

CZ's do not like to be dry fired, and you risk bending and maybe breaking the roll pin which stops the firing pin, from extending well into the chamber..
