Bystander/good Samaritan eliminates shooter at school

My hope is that they don't try to crucify the good guy for chasing bad guy and dispatching him to the great beyond.

It’s gonna be a hard press to do that.

Look at most states laws like a suspended or habitual traffic violates (life suspension) gets a pass if driving someonw to an ER
So as almost zero chance it is if thwre any attempt to prosecute this person a good 2A Attorney should be able to get it thrown out over states own laws looking the other way for one set of circumstances thisnis no different!

with it being a blue state the by-stander doesn't stand a chance unless that person had a family member in the building? not sure what OR laws are?
Both OR and WA are red east of the Cascades. The being said if an ambitious DA or judge wants to grab some low hanging fruit under the state's blue canopy they might make a case against the good Samaritan.

I've passed through Bend several times in my younger days; nice town.

I have a sister in law who in Bend and and a daughter who in the Hillsboro area. Oregon unfortunately is a anti firearm state and constantly looking for ways to Banish Firearms. Few years back a young man stopped a shooter from shooting up a mall by using his firearm to keep shooter pinned in a bathroom with his sidearm. The mall was posted no weapons and the young man had a CHL and after police arrived he was questioned and released. The mall wanted him to be arrested but for breaking the law. That request was denied but the mall banned from the mall. Also in Oregon my daughter told me you can't carry on public transportation,my daughter now works from home. Hopes are that they don't release to much information on the person that possibly saved many lives by doing the right thing.
