Discussion: Should I Appendix Carry?

[Mike H.]

Hello all, here is today's article posted on TheArmoryLife.com. It is titled “Should I Appendix Carry?” and can be found at https://www.thearmorylife.com/should-i-appendix-carry/.

not for me. You do you.

[Old_Me]

its the best way for me to carry, due to my body shape......

actually, i carry just behind that first belt loop, so really i guess, not exactly appendix, and it is as comfortable for me as possible, and it does not "print"

[FNFAN]

I have one double action auto, a SIG239 SAS for appendix carry. That or a DA revolver are the only guns I'll appendix carry. Good concealment carry for hiking and makes for a very fast draw.

I can't, my appendix was removed years ago

[Anchorite]

To each, their own.

[Model 457]

I will NEVER intentionally aim a firearm at my junk.

[OldGrunt]

Should I? No. End of story. But others may do as they want.

[Talyn]

Not happening for me.

[Tremor]

I mostly carry my Snubs in the area between 1:30–3:00

[HayesGreener]

Never for me. Pointing a pistol at my femoral artery and Willy scares me.

as it should. Still not sure why the over emphasis on this kind of carry when so many other ones have served us well for centuries.

I don’t. I’m to chunky monkey.

[Retired Bum]

I have seen all sorts of mishaps and foolishness take place with professional and serious competitive shooters, the statistics do not need me to add to the numbers.

[Tremor]

I found a 1791 on the belt holster for a J-Frame. My Diamondback SDR fits it perfectly. I’ve been wearing it in the 2:30 & 3:00 area. I’m starting to get used to it. I’m not giving up on my 1:30 -2:00 IWB area but trying it out as an option.

My EDC is AIWB daily
Sig Sauer P365xl or a CZ P-10C
Both in a camouflage Safariland Species Holster
