Revolvers. I need ideas đź’ˇ

I was considering the 432 UC until i saw the price per round. No thanks.

If I was rich, I’d like to set up a program to provide ammo in these cases. These are the exact people who need ammo that costs more to start with, and if they had a lot of it up front they would be more willing to train and practice with it.

If I were the Elon Musk of the gun world…

Look into Charter Arms offerings. They won't send her into sticker shock and they have some very unique color options. If you're not going to be shooting it extensively or feeding it a steady diet of hot loads they are a solid choice. If you figure to be doing either of these, go with Ruger.

Charter CS has been very helpful when I had questions and needed warranty service. Their rubber grips aren't super small so you can control the gun reasonably well.

Snubbies aren't these easiest to shoot and recoil is relatively stout. Some of them hurt to shoot, a problem that older hands may not be able to tolerate well. If the gun discourages practice it isn't a good choice.

4" barrels are the Goldilocks answer in my world. Light bullets make a noticeable difference in wheelguns. Hornady Critical Defense Lite is a good choice in .38 special.

While yes the 32 can be higher in the posters case it’s not something for one to shoot a case a month through like a polymer 9mm. Like how much will a senior shokt it. A couple times a year and less than a box each time.

For the rest of us the 32 is easy enough to reload and as far as new ammo all revolver Centerfire ammo runs double what 9mm runs and the 32 is not much more than 38

As of this morning, Target Sports USA Federal 38 is $.54/rd while Remington 32 is $1.19/rd. That’s the cheapest for each.

Depends below is less expensive place that is quality but first a disclaimer. Ok I am maybe biased but I base that on he makes really good ammo. I am friends with Steve Shield who owns High Desert Cartridge and I use his stuff. In fact I ran his 38 125 and smoked the Bakersfield Qual in Wayne Dobbs class at Revolverfest this year.

Below is his link but I also threw in some pics of his 38 TMJ is 24 a box of 50 his 32 H&R is slightly hight for WC and the S&W Long is somewhat higher than the H&R but significantly less than your source

So unless you are shooting 1,000 rounds a month it’s not a bad choice for recoil sensitive shooters that shoot a couple 3 boxes a year

pretty good price on 38spl "seconds" @ $.40/round.

His “2nds” are gojng to be better than other companies he’s oretty picky. And any rohnd wadcutters have inches up in price so for range stuff with that particular 32 caliber it would be fine. And stole it with regular WC for defense especially 32 S&W it’s going to shoot like a 22 Mag BUT with being Centerfire hih will have way more reliable ignition with some lighter triggers where a 22 Mg uiu habe to habe a way heavier trigger to get that rimfire to ignite more reliable however it’s still a rimfire that does what rimfires do!

i don't have the 432, so i am not in the market for 32. however, the prices on 38 seem reasonable. i'd have to see about shipping cost.
when i was gathering info about snub nose revolvers, the 32h&r offerings piqued my curiosity. maybe some day i'll add that caliber to the mix. for now the recoil using 38spl in my 442 is pretty tame, even with +P. so that is not an issue. having 6 rounds instead of 5 would be nice though.

i was considering getting into reloading but the upfront cost is a bit much right now. then i'll have another addition to feed.
you will NEVER save any money, reloading..however, you WILL have ammo at the ready...costs can be minimal, or over the top, regarding how crazy you go..

i just happened to "get lucky" when the RSO at the public range made me an offer i could not refuse, on his entire reloading set up, which did include a NIB Dillon 550C...minus any dies......pffttt......Lee dies fit the bill.....for me at least.

My son had 1,000 rounds of the 125 TMJ shipped to my house for us to run at Revolverfest and I thing it was around 475 ish with shipping but don’t have the label it wasn't very much more if at all.

His work prevented him from going so I have his half and I am not sure he is getting it back, I might save the brass for him though LOL

i am "lucky" if i shoot about 200 rounds per year with my 2 revolver(s). i still have about 200 rounds of .38 special, and maybe about 100 rounds of .357.

and 0 rounds of Colt 45......which i might shoot once a year..???

but i have way more components to reload each of the 3 calibers.

i just do not shoot enough to warrant any reloading for a while yet...

but, imma ready to go when i have to..!!!!

I had 1 revolver that took .45 Colt and 410 shells. I couldn’t stand the Rugar public defender all metal. The grip was to small
