M2 ball has nothing to do with the garand. It's also not lower pressure than commercial ammo. The old hunting ammo will blow up your garand myth is still that. A myth.

Uh..the gas port is 1.5" from the muzzle in the garand. Which makes the garand very insensitive to different loadings. The oprod isn't easily bent using off the shelf ammo. It is bent however from lack of proper lubrication. Commercial ammo and milsurp ammo operates at the same pressures so...

No.. Same ammo same max pressure. 308/762 is interchangeable since it's basically the same thing. And no... There is no such thing as mg ammo loaded to higher pressure than what was fired in the garand. There was no "mg ammo" at all.

The garand is by far less ammo sensitive than an M14.

You should try it to see if your rifle likes it first. I've never had any issues at all with mine.

Haven't had any issues with steel cases and will shoot up what I have left. Even reloaded some just for hunting use...no problems there either.
