You can never have enough ammo!

A wall is sheetrock and is not an earthen berm at the local range. I think there may be a difference. Slight, but you don’t know what’s on the other side of the wall either. I can see both points.

Time change means change magazines, ammo(revolver), and smoke alarm batteries. Hurricane season means top off all fuel tanks and not let them get below half a tank. Keep extra case of H2O out in the garage. Run to the state store? Check.

I don’t shoot skeet so I can’t rationalize your scenario. Help me. If I squeeze the trigger too early ………. is that accidental or … ?? If I don’t know what my target is, is that accidental or … ??

On the Bic lighter, I use a rubber band under the lip to prevent “pocket leak” of fuel while it’s in your pocket. You may be surprised at how easy it is for those things to leak as they bang around in your full pocket. The other alternative is to go Zippo. Problem solved!

I think what I would do is buy ammo (or load - if you do) and shoot. Practice makes perfect! But, hey, I get it. There’s nothing quite like that feeling when you get a new gun. Myself, I analyze every new purchase thought that I have - do I really need this, is this gap in my arsenal...

I have always been of the opinion there are no such things as accidental discharges. There are only negligent discharges.

Best belt I ever bought was from an Amish guy at a gun show in Birmingham, Alabama back in late 80s. You had to work to get it to bend and get it through your belt loops. Sadly I outgrew that belt but I survived. The belt didn’t survive because it disappeared during the divorce…
