I've used Mountain House for years in the mountains sheep hunting. They're pretty good and have sustained me carrying everything I need on my back for 2 weeks.

When I'm out in the woods (usually the Rockies of Canada, but now in Kentucky) I always have either a 12 gauge, a 7mm mag or a 45-70 so I don't usually carry anything else.

Would be a great bday gift!! It would also complement my 226. Cheers
