Thanks all. I tried the decocker at the shooting range and it worked as advertised. I appreciate all the advice.

New to this forum and to gun ownership. Just purchased an XDE 3.3. With a shell in the chamber, if I depress the de-cock, can I assume the gun won't fire? Thanks for the help.
